A Commitment to Excellence
A defining feature of smart
cities is the ability of the component systems to interoperate.
Each sector has its own models and terminologies that enable data to be discovered and understood within that sector, but form a barrier to interoperability with other sectors.
The smart city concept model (SCCM) outlined in this International Standard addresses this lack of interoperability by defining an overarching framework of concepts and relationships that can be used to describe data from any sector.

RAMIRO MURGUÍA
Co-Founder and President of the VSCI and Founding Director General of World Youth Academy
Ramiro holds two bachelor degrees both from Mexico, Industrial Engineering and Business Management; in Argentina he was granted with an international certification on ISO 14000 standard by the UTN; and finally he graduated from the Danube Universität Krems, Austria as MBA.
He has worked for the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) supporting the early stage of the Nuclear Knowledge Management Initiative in the Nuclear Safety and Security Coordination Section within the NS Department. Ramiro has worked for United Nations Office at Vienna (part of UNDC) in the Procurement Section. He was also Project Manager at the Austrian Economics Center taking over IT and International projects.
Among his vast professional experience, Ram also worked for Totvs Latin America in Argentina as Consultant on Manufacturing and Engineering. He has been exponent in several youth summits in Argentina, Austria, Chile, Mexico, Peru and USA, as well as he has collaborated for both, National and International newspapers.
Ramiro has received several awards for his work on the social projects and since then he is developing programs to create, connect and inspire.
In 2010, during his time at the United Nations Vienna, Ramiro founded Latinomics Internacional also in Vienna, which became a success in Latin America.

He was born in Cordoba, Veracruz, Mexico.

Hands-on exercises provide a practical approach that enables you to apply the methods learned during and after the workshop. Several tools are provided for you to implement. You will present a portion of the training materials brought with you to the group.
Please bring a laptop with Microsoft Powerpoint and Word included and your own training presentation on a memory stick for a truly interactive workshop.
Smart Cities have been identified as a promising potential application domain for the information and communication technologies (ICT) and the Internet of Things (IoT) with a wide range of possible services that can benefit City Administration/Municipal Governance. Municipal governments around the globe are employing big data and Internet-of-Things applications to improve many aspects of daily life. Information and communication technology (ICT) is used to enhance quality, performance and interactivity of urban services, to reduce costs and resource consumption and to improve contact between citizens and government.
This course provides an overview of ISO Smart City Concept Model applied while architecting smart city applications.
The sessions provide building a case studies of smart cities. Attendees will learn fundamentals of ISO Standards, and definitions.
The session also helps to learn how to deploy interoperable and scalable smart city solutions that will meet needs of the city communities. It will help cities plan roadmaps to acquire these solutions for their citizens.
Participants will learn to design and analyze Smart City. The learning model describes the diagram, schematic and implementation plans.
Computer Science
Hands-on experience with the latest programming languages and technology. We have trained IT professionals who work closely with our students so they are prepared for the real world.
World Youth Academy
This program is provided in collaboration with the World Youth Academy. The participant will be granted with a Participation Certificate stamped by both organizations.
